Louis Zulli Jr. Wins two First Place Awards at Microsoft Partners in Learning Global Forum During an award ceremony on Thursday November 10 at the Donald W. Reynolds Center for American Art and Portraiture, Microsoft Corp. announced the winners of the 2011 Global Forum Educator Awards. This year’s winners were selected from more than 115 projects, narrowed from more than 200,000 applicants, who competed at national and regional events over the course of the year to qualify for the worldwide competition at the 2011 Partners in Learning Global Forum. Louis Zulli Jr. Named One of the Nation’s Top Educators by Microsoft Corp. Louis Zulli Jr., technology coordinator, Center for Advanced Technologies, Lakewood High, was awarded first place in the Use of Technology for Learning category for his “Center for Advanced Technologies News and Information Portal” (CATNIP) project of the 2011 U.S. Innovative Education Forum (IEF). Hail to the Victors “I’m crying. I really am crying. I’m really upset.” For the first time in his years at Lakewood in the CAT Program, Chris Borg is wearing the Scarlet and Gray of The Ohio State University to class. For Borg, an avid University of Michigan fan, this is the ultimate humiliation. One almost as bad as watching his beloved Wolverines get beat year after year by the Buckeyes.
